We never seem to completely move to a position where we don’t need reminding of this, so here it is…

This is about far more than just providing broader course options for students. That is the bottom line for many of our smaller schools, but it does not explain why larger schools like Ashburton College fully engage in this or why virtual learning is spreading through Auckland schools in the form of HarbourNet. The reality is that the internet is and will continue to change education (at all levels). Schools will eventually have students working on a scale from face to face, to blended, to fully online. Without the fully online schools will never understand how to truly blend (which is a combination of the two) education. By slowly expanding how many of your students and teachers are exposed to fully online learning, you will grow the capability of your school to meet student need in an ever changing world.

Sounds like a good deal to me.
